The Ocean Governance Project is organising a Stakeholder Dialogue on the Fisheries Act, 2025 (Act 1146) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreement on Harmful Fisheries Subsidies.
The Dialogue is scheduled for Thursday, 30th October 2025 at AH Hotel, East Legon from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This engagement seeks to provide stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of the newly enacted Fisheries Act, 2025 (ACT 1146) highlighting its key provisions, opportunities, and potential implementation challenges. It will also offer a platform to discuss the implications of the WTO Agreement on Harmful Fisheries Subsidies for Ghana’s fisheries sector and explore strategies for effective national alignment and compliance.
